Feel Kolkata – More Than Just Visit – 4N/5D

Welcome on arrival at Kolkata and Transfer to Hotel. Later, proceed for a full day city tour with an introduction about India & Bengal, drive by the old heritage building of BBD Bagh and visit the bank of the River Ganges to understand the significance of the mighty river in our life. Drive over the Howrah Bridge, visit Victoria Memorial (museum closed on Monday), St. Paul’s Cathedral and Kalighat Temple. Enjoy shopping at the Gariahat Market.  You will finish the day’s tour at the Mother Teresa’s House, the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity. Stay overnight in Kolkata.

After breakfast, visit the Parasnath Jain Temple and Rabindranath Tagore Museum. Later transfer to Raichak (80 Km / 03 hrs).  As per history – this place was once an extremely important point on the shipping route – it gained notoriety as pirates started attacking the trade ships causing loss of life and goods. The government put up a fort here – which maintained surveillance and provided protection to the passing ships. But with the passage of time, the fort fell to ruins and forgotten.

The place has now gained popularity as a beautiful picnic destination near Kolkata on the banks of Ganges. Stay overnight in Raichak.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Gothkhali (111Kms/3Hrs) through beautiful countryside and rural bazaar. Arrive at Gothkhali Jetty and board into the motorized boat. Arrive at Sunderbans and explore the mystic and the wonder of the Sundarban wildlife. Stay overnight in Sunderban.

After breakfast, a day to explore Sunderban. After Briefing and interpretation by our local guide cum naturalist cruise through Vidyadhari, Durgaduani and Gumdi rivers to the Sudhanyakhali watch tower and a visit to Sajnekhali Interpretation center. Experience the Island Cruise and arrive at Bali Island and check in at the hotel.

After breakfast, visit the Village.  Lunch onboard the cruise; followed by transfer to Kolkata Airport.
